Virtual Pet Shop from Ngmoco Coming on App Store

Developer Ngmoco announced its plans to open a virtual pet shop on Apple’s App Store.

The game puts together the joy of having a pet and the joy of virtual play. Through the new application called Touch Pets: Dogs, iPhone and iPod Touch users will be able to adopt puppies, buy them clothes and teach them new tricks.

The pet simulator game will allow its users to play with their 3-D puppies, train and dress them. Users can play with the pets via one-to-one touch screen interaction. Users can even take their puppies to a walk with other users from around the world and their dogs. When users are logged out, their puppies grow emotionally.

Users can dress the dogs with a variety of clothes and accessories and get them other doggie stuff like Frisbees, brushes or a grooming apparatus. Users will buy all these things using the game’s currency: Puppy Bucks.

Users can chose dogs from five different dog breeds and can enlist them in one of the five careers: Science, Rescue, Fashion, Crime-fighting and Political Paths. There are numerous career missions users can send their dogs to complete in order to get rewards.

Ngmoco has developed several other games specifically for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
The Tough Pets: Dogs was created by Andrew Stern of Stumpton Game Machine.

Touch Pets: Dogs will be released in the spring of 2009 and will only be available on the  iPhone and iPod Touch.
