Apple Might Attend To Next Year’s CES

According to a source close to Apple, the company is planning to participate at the Consumer electronics show starting 2010. This is quite news, as Apple had previously announced that they would not attend to the MacWorld Conference and Expo after this year’s edition.

Not much time after the information leaked out on the internet, bloggers and analysts have argued whether Apple has done a good move to participate at CES, since Microsoft has traditionally dominated this exposition over time, mainly through Bill Gate’s keynote speeches.

Moreover, it is a known fact that Apple was doing a very good job every year at MacWorld and that Steve Job’s keynotes proved to be more popular among people than the Microsoft CEO’s were. This is due to the revolutionizing products that Apple has released, including the iPod and, more recently, the iPhone. It looks like geeks everywhere loved iPhone more than Microsoft’s Zune and Surface.

Even though many people say that Apple’s decision might not be the wisest, as it involves greater travelling expenses and the company of its biggest rivals, the source told AppleInsider that Apple is aiming directly to its competitors, as the company has allegedly spoken with CES representatives, in order to create a section dedicated to products from the Mac environment.

Analysts say that the fact that Apple will move to CES starting next year is an illustration of the fact that Microsoft does not rule the PC industry anymore, and that Apple has become a big player in the computer and handheld industries.
