Talk show host Jay Leno has been released from hospital. He staid overnight after yesterday he was taken there due to an undisclosed illness.
A spokesman of the comedian and host of The Late Night Show said Jay Leno was released from hospital after the doctors found out that his sickness was not "symptomatic of anything serious."
“I think it was a dehydration," said Leno's rep according to People Magazine.
The hospitalization caused Jay Leno to cancel his taping of The Late Night Show. It was the first time in 17 years since the 58-year-old comedian misses a scheduled Tonight Show program. Mr. Leno started doing the talk show in 1992.
Surprising, or maybe not, there were no details on what illness caused Leno to miss the tapping of the Tonight Show. Details of the diagnosis were kept private. The NBC network said Leno was feeling much better and was "anxious to return to work Monday".
"We are happy to say that Jay Leno is feeling much better and has been released from the hospital. He's anxious to return to work on Monday," the NBC spokeswoman said.
Jay Leno received treatment at the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. Doctors kept the comedian overnight for observation as a precautionary measure. Leno also canceled two weekend stand-up gigs in Las Vegas.
