After finding out that his brother Jerry O'Connell and sister-in-law Rebecca Romijn named one of their newborn twin daughters Charlie after him, Jerry's brother said it was a "real honor."
A former Bachelor star, Charlie O'Connell quipped, "The spelling is the same way that they spell my name, so if I get into trouble with credit one day, I can always use hers."
The new uncle met Tamara Tulip and Dolly Rebecca Rose in the hospital shortly after their were born.
"Charlie looks more like Jerry, and I think Dolly looks more like Rebecca," he was quoted by Usmagazine.com as saying. As far as the parents are concerned, Charlie said the two "are doing really good. I think they're not really getting that much sleep, which is to be expected. At any given time, one of them are up."
Rebecca, who delivered the baby girls on December 28, made it clear a long time ago she would name one of the girls after her favorite country music singer Dolly Parton, making Jerry's responsibility to come up with a name for their other twin daughter.
Already at home with her babies, Romijn, who most recently starred on ABC’s "Ugly Betty," asked to be written off for most of this season of the comedy in order to focus on her impending first-time motherhood.
"I'm taking quite a bit of time off," Romijn, who spent the last months on bed rest, said. "I really want this to be my job for at least the next six months."
The baby news was initially announced by family pal DJ Howard Stern on his radio show.
