The latest Honk Kong's bloggers are no others than the two
giant pandas who arrived from China.
As you imagine, they blog about their new home, a theme park in Hong Kong and about their food.
The male panda, named Le Le, was the first to post his
impressions. He had "officially joined the big family of Hong
Kong" when he and Ying Ying, the female panda, arrived as a
gift from the Chinese government to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the
territory's return to Chinese rule.
The blog, which can be found at www.oceanpark.com.hk,
described the pandas' first day at their new home at the Ocean Park
theme park: "We were so happy and excited about our new environment. Ying
Ying even displayed her naughty and curious nature by climbing up and down all
the time, and she walked around the new home. "To adapt to the new
environment as soon as possible, our caregivers played water-flowing and
bird-singing sounds to imitate the environment of nature."
Le Le, which means happiness, and Ying Ying, which means
grace and abundance, are now in quarantine and are to go on display July 1, the
anniversary of Hong Kong's return to Chinese
rule. The blog is to be updated regularly, the theme park said.
