New Technologies At CES Attract Visitors, But Not So Much Money

This year’s International Consumer Electronics Show was the place to see the new technologies and the upcoming products of the biggest manufacturers in the industry.

The organizers stated that there have been many visitors at the exhibition and that, generally, people were excited with what they saw.

However, some analysts predict that, even though manufacturers try to do everything in order to convince their customers that they should buy their new products, the economic depression that floats around the market will bring trouble to the electronic giants, which invested important amounts of money to develop new technologies.

It is interesting, though, that environmental-friendly products were hugely popular at the show, getting everyone’s attention. The organizers even dedicated an entire section for these products.

Both people and reviewers praised the new wave of high-definition TVs, as manufacturers have improved their power consumption levels. It is expected that the new generation of LCD-backlit LCDs will draw 40 percent less energy than its predecessors.

While new products are marketed as offering a better experience than ever before, some market analysts revealed that, currently, manufacturers try to improve their devices, rather than releasing other technologies. They certainly have reasons to do so, as the entire industry has reached a level where revolution is quite hard to get to.

As an example, Blu-Ray is one year old, but it is still a rarity in many households. The situation is the same for the OLED-powered TV sets, as manufacturers didn’t release any consumer-oriented product with this technology, even though it had been promised at last year’s CES.
