Tel Aviv  - The number of suspected swine flu cases in Israel has risen to six, two of which have been confirmed with certainty, Israeli media reported Wednesday.

The number rose after an Israeli woman in her mid-50s returned from a trip to Mexico with symptoms. She has been hospitalized at Israel's Meir hospital in Kfar Saba, north-east of Tel Aviv.

She has been placed in quarantine and her condition was being described as "good."

The two certain swine flu cases are a 49-year-old man who returned from Mexico two days ago, also hospitalized at Meir, and a 26-year-old Israeli, hospitalized in Netanya, north of Tel Aviv, whose 5-year-old niece has also been taken in with suspected symptoms.

Two more suspected cases are at Tel Aviv's Ichilov hospital.

Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian representatives are scheduled to meet Thursday to debate common measures against the disease, Israel Radio said.
