Pure Digital unveiled the new Flip UltraHD, a sort of a bigger brother of the MinoHD.
The new device from Pure Digital is a bit bigger that the MiniHD and it also has two hours of recording time and a 2-inch, high resolution screen.
The Flip UltraHD can shoot 720p HD video which is a quite high quality for its class. It is very easy to use and fits in your pocket or purse easily. It runs on rechargeable AA batteries and its FlipShare software is compatible with both Mac and Windows PCs. The devices has a 2-inch (diagonally) display, offers a 2x digital zoom and has a flip-out USB connector.
There are two versions of the Flip: the Ultra SD which sells for $149 and the UltraHD which is purchasable for $200.
the UltraSD can shoot up to two hours of H.264 video at 640 x 480 pixels and average bit rate of 4Mbps. It has 4GB of internal memory and is available in black, white, yellow and pick.
On the other hand, the Flip UltraHD shoots at a resolution of 1280 x 720 (720p), can shoot up to 2 hours of H.264 at an average bit rate of 9Mbps. It also has a HDMI port which connects it to an HDTV. This version comes in versions of black and white with chrome sides.
