Few things can be more frustrating than waiting for your cell phone or laptop computer to re-charge. But researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say they've discovered a new way to recharge lithium-ion batteries in a matter of seconds. Using a new processing technique, the researchers made a small battery that could be fully charged in 10 to 20 seconds. The technology means cell phones and laptop computers could be charged in less time than it takes to make a cup of coffee.
